Where military service meets wildlife protection

U.S. and South Africa

Operation Enduring Wildlife (OEW) is the Wildlife Justice Foundation’s primary purpose, channeling the skills, teamwork, and drive of U.S. veterans into hands-on wildlife and anti-poaching programs at home and abroad.

From field immersions in South Africa’s North West Province to stateside conservation projects, veterans train and work to protect wildlife and habitats. OEW experiences emphasize real impact, e.g., reading spoor and signs, fence-line sweeps and de-snaring, camera-trap deployment, patrol awareness, and practical habitat support.

Why it matters: veterans deserve meaningful missions; wildlife needs committed defenders; communities benefit when both thrive together. OEW delivers four things that last: purpose, skills, community, and impact..

Together, we are "Tipping the Scales for Nature."

At the Wildlife Justice Foundation, our overall mission is to protect and preserve wildlife through education, anti-poaching operations, and immersive safaris. Through our work in the U.S. and North West South Africa, we create opportunities to support wildlife firsthand while doing our part to safeguard our flora and fauna.
